Christmas of Gratitude (from Andrew's mission president)

“One of the things we can give at Christmas time, that no one else can give, is our thanks."
(Spencer W. Kimball, A Gift of Gratitude, Ensign, Dec 1977)

ã MERRY CHRISTMAS! ã
To our wonderful, dedicated, faithful, beloved, magnificent missionaries!

“The best Christmas gifts are those that come from the heart and build our faith.”

We have pondered what might be a blessing to you missionaries at this Christmastime.  We decided to do “12 days of Christmas gratitude.”  As a mission, we hope to learn about the true spirit of gratitude.  Please give some thought and prayer to your efforts to bless others by expressing gratitude this season.  Learn to be gracious. The Brethren are excellent examples of this!  It is a trait that will bless your life forever.  We hope that as a mission, this “season of gratitude” will help us be more Christlike in expressing love and appreciation to others.
Enjoy yourselves, and remember how very much we LOVE each of you!!!
 With love, Y
President & Sister Glazier

**********

“Gracias, danke, merci—whatever language is spoken, “thank you” frequently expressed will cheer your spirit,
broaden your friendships, and lift your lives to a higher pathway as you journey toward perfection.
There is a simplicity—even a sincerity—when “thank you” is spoken.”
(President Monson, Ensign, Sept 2005, The Profound Power of Gratitude)
