Graditude and Humility

Another good week. Fun to hear about the Halloween stuff and dads sweet new bike and jobs.

But yep, Dawson, many comments about my tallness and gringoness every single day and the people try to speak Engles to me.

Pray for family Alfaro. They are trying to save money to go to the temple by selling hot dogs. Super humble family! I was telling Dawson about this awesome humble family: Family Alfaro
We were walking back from a visit in a lightning storm and ran into this member family that we visit that were returning from selling hotdogs in these carts in the rain all day. We helped them put their carts back in the house/shack and realized  that their two little kids came out of the carts and were in the tiny carts the whole day. But they came out smiling!

So we started a family night and talked about their goal to get sealed in the temple and how they don't have the money and the dad has diabetes and a lot of problems. Any ways I'm trying to explain the humble circumstances and how sincere they are to go to the temple. After all this the dad said something that had really changed my thinking he said  "humility isn't putting your head down, humility is exactness."

It was a powerful statement coming from this guy in his circumstances. We show our humility not always by being timid and easy to manipulate. We show humility to God as we obey him with exactness; showing that we realize that His way is better and we are willing to accept His will and follow him.

Wish I had more time but Love you all! Elder Flake
